Mental Wellness Basics

Laying the structural foundation for cognitive health. Understanding what mental wellness actually is, beyond the cultural buzzwords.

Mental Health vs. Mental Illness

A common misconception is treating the terms "mental health" and "mental illness" as interchangeable. They are not.

Mental health is a spectrum that applies to every human being—it dictates your daily resilience, focus, and emotional baseline. Mental illness refers to a specific, diagnosable disruption in your neurobiological system (similar to how poor physical health is different from having a broken arm). You can have poor mental health periods without having a mental illness, and people with a diagnosed mental illness can achieve excellent mental health management.
